Steps are underway to establish a subsidiary of Kleverr Technologies in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Its role in operating State of Tech DRC will be defined following its incorporation.

2. Acceptance

By accessing the site or using its services, you accept these terms as well as our Privacy Policy.

If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the site or participate in a survey.

3. Purpose of the service

State of Tech DRC collects, analyzes, and presents information on technology adoption in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The site may, among other things, allow you to:

  • participate in a survey;
  • resume a participation already begun;
  • view aggregated results;
  • download reports or charts;
  • register for an event or a communication;
  • contact the project team.

The features available may change from one edition to another.

4. Participation in surveys

Participation is voluntary. Unless otherwise stated, it does not entitle you to any payment, reward, or benefit.

You agree to provide sincere answers based on your own experience and not to:

  • intentionally submit multiple responses where the survey does not allow it;
  • use a bot or an automated system;
  • attempt to manipulate the results;
  • transmit illegal or misleading content, or content that infringes the rights of others;
  • unnecessarily enter information that would identify another person.

Kleverr Technologies may exclude responses that are clearly fraudulent, automated, inconsistent, or contrary to these terms.

Where incentives are offered, specific rules may apply.

5. Resume codes and access

A code may allow you to resume a survey. You are responsible for keeping it safe and must not publish it or share it with an unauthorized person.

We do not guarantee the recovery of a lost code. A code may be deactivated in the event of misuse, a security risk, or after the close of the relevant edition.

6. Use of responses

You retain any rights that may apply to the content you provide.

By participating, you authorize Kleverr Technologies to collect, store, analyze, aggregate, and use your responses in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the purposes presented at the time of participation.

Kleverr Technologies may produce and commercialize reports, indicators, dashboards, or analyses based on aggregated or de-identified data.

Nothing in these terms authorizes the publication of your identity together with your responses without your consent, except where legally required.

7. Results and methodology

Published results reflect the responses collected, the methodology applied, and the limitations set out in the corresponding documents.

They may be provisional, rounded, weighted, corrected, or updated. They do not necessarily constitute a census, nor a perfect representation of the entire population.

Kleverr Technologies strives to present results rigorously, without guaranteeing that they are free of any error or omission.

The site's content is provided for informational purposes. It does not constitute legal, financial, medical, technical, or professional advice.

8. Intellectual property

The site, the State of Tech identity, logos, texts, visualizations, reports, editorial databases, interfaces, and other content produced by Kleverr Technologies are protected by applicable laws.

Unless otherwise stated, you may:

  • view the content;
  • share a link to a public page;
  • quote short excerpts while clearly crediting State of Tech DRC and the source.

You may not, without written authorization:

  • substantially reproduce a report or a database;
  • remove a source attribution;
  • resell or redistribute the content;
  • use the trademarks or logos in a way that suggests a partnership;
  • bulk-extract the data by an automated process;
  • create a commercial product derived from our results.

Terms specific to open data or downloads may grant additional rights.

9. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • circumvent security measures or access rules;
  • disrupt the operation of the site;
  • search for or exploit a vulnerability without authorization;
  • access another person's data;
  • introduce malicious software;
  • use the site for unlawful purposes;
  • impersonate a person or an organization.

10. External services and links

The site may contain links to, or integrate, services operated by third parties. Kleverr Technologies does not control their content, availability, or privacy practices.

Your use of these services may be subject to their own terms.

11. Availability of the site

We seek to keep the site accessible and secure, but we do not guarantee continuous availability.

We may suspend or modify a feature for reasons of maintenance, security, compliance, or the project's evolution.

Where a survey has an official collection period, its opening and closing are determined by the dates shown on the site.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Kleverr Technologies shall not be liable for indirect losses resulting from the use of the site, its unavailability, or decisions made solely on the basis of its content.

This limitation does not apply where prohibited by law, nor to liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Suspension of access

We may restrict or suspend access in the event of a breach of these terms, a threat to the security of the service, suspected fraud, or a legal obligation.

14. Changes

We may update these terms to reflect the evolution of the service or of legal requirements.

The date of the update will be shown at the top of this page. A significant change may be flagged on the site.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the province of Ontario and by the federal laws of Canada.

Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Ontario, subject to any mandatory rights you may have in your place of residence.
